The story

I graduated from college in 2008, but I had to take the board exams (a medical related field), then pass the boards, then wait a couple of months for my license, etc., in all, it was about a 6 month wait after graduation before I could get my license in my hand and start working. During this time, I was having to be very cautious with money, because I wasn't working - I was studying full time for the boards. One day, I had to get my oil changed and tires rotated. I always got that done at Sears Auto. That way, I could walk around the mall and window shop, and not be bored silly while I waited on my car work to be done. Anyway, while I was window shopping, I saw a very beautiful royal blue dress shirt in JCPenney's. It was $40. I really wanted it, and yes, I had the money to buy it, but I thought that was a bit expensive, and that I shouldn't be spending money like that till I had my license in hand, working, and bringing in some income. So, Instead of buying it, I spoke over it. I said: "I'll find a shirt just like that in my size, in perfect condition, but a whole lot cheaper than $40. Then, I'll buy it." I just said that and put that intention out there, then forgot about it. About a year later, I was dating this very beautiful young lady, and she wanted to go to Goodwill to look for something. While she was shopping, I went off on my own to the men's clothing area. Wouldn't you know it - just as soon as I got to the men's section, I saw that exact same kind of shirt, in my size, looking like brand new - and priced at only $4!!! I immediately tried it on to make sure it fit, then bought it. I got it for 1/10th of what it cost at the mall.
