The story
I’m a vintage dealer and I bought a vintage 1950s Kirby vacuum cleaner. I was actually thinking of getting it refurbished and using it since they are way better than anything that’s currently out.but for the time being, I just placed the vacuum in the garage and shut the door.
A few months later, my wife informed me in a panic that we weren’t going to be able to make our mortgage payment. We were $850 short. I told her to not worry about it and that it would work out.
I went to work and my sister came over to help my wife clean out the garage. My sister is a very nonchalant personality and she said, “Hey, what do you want me to do with this jar of money?”
Apparently a jar of money fell out of the vacuum when she picked it up. My wife counted it and it was $900 in 1950s money!
