A list of qualities led me back to my high-school sweetheart

The story

This one's about my wife and the girl I dated before her. I went back to college a little later in life. During college, my ex wife and I got divorced. After I graduated and started practicing in my field, I was looking for a girlfriend. I tried the online dating sites and had a mixed bag of results, but nothing solid. It was then that I heard about the LOA. I decided to try it out for finding a girlfriend.

I like beautiful, exotic looking girls - foreign, light skinned black girls, mixed race girls, Hispanic girls, etc. So, I put some pictures of some light skinned black beauties on my vision board and said "She will look similar to this." I had a pic of Nicole Ari Parker, Stacey Dash, and Vanessa Williams on my wall. Sure enough, after only about a week, I started meeting beautiful, exotic looking, mixed race girls on the dating sites. The only problem was that they lived very far away from me - too far to make it work. So, after reading up a little more on LOA, I put another pic up on my vision board. This one was a map with a radius - a 30 mile radius around my location on the map. I also wrote on it: "She will live in this area." Sure enough, about a month later, I met this absolutely stunning young lady at one of the offices I worked at. But...she had a boyfriend. She was involved in this MLM business that one of my colleagues was also involved in, and I got invited to one of their presentations. I saw her again, but she will still with that guy. About a week or two later, they had one of those presentations at the office I worked at, and she did the presentation, but her bf wasn't there. I asked her where her bf was. She said that they had broken up. We started chatting, ended up kissing, and then we ended up dating steady, and even becoming engaged later on. We lasted about a year and a half, but I realized that she was crazy, she had an arrest record, and she was engaged in some sketchy / borderline illegal behavior. We broke up. I went back to the drawing board. Physically, she was exactly what I wanted. But the way she acted was a definite no-go. I realized that the mistake that I had made was that I only wrote down and used pics of what I wanted physically, but that I hadn't mentioned a word about what her personality should be like. To be honest, I really didn't know. But after dating her, I knew for sure what I DIDN'T want, and I also had a lot better idea about what I DID want.

So, I got this CD from a motivational speaker / LOA guy / business coach named Brian Tracy. It is called "21 Great Ways to Meet and Marry the Woman of Your Dreams." I started listening to it and doing it, and one of the exercises in it is to make a list of all of the qualities that you want in the woman that you want to marry. As it turns out, I had dated this beautiful girl in high school many years before that I thought was my soulmate, but she cheated on me and we broke up. Fast forward 23 years, I had found her again on Facebook, and we were friends. One night, I just looked over my list of qualities that I wanted in a woman, and she checked every single box. So, a few nights later on the phone, I asked her if she ever thought about us getting back together. She said, "Heck yeah!" very enthusiastically. I was thrilled. We got back together, and shortly after, we got married. We have now been happily married for 15 years. LOA works!
